Morvern Landscapes

Morvern (Gaelic: A' Mhorbhairne: the sea-gap) – is the most southerly peninsula to where people can arrive on a ferry crossing from the Isle of Mull to Lochaline. It is bounded to the north by Loch Sunart and Glen Tarbert, on the south east by Loch Linnhe and on the south west by the Sound of Mull. The name is derived from the Gaelic A' Mhorbhairne (the Sea-Gap). It is a mainly mountainous area, with its highest point being the summit of the Corbett Creach Bheinn (2,799 ft). However, it offers landscape of not only mountains but also deciduous woodlands, vast moorland and stunning shorelines.
